Policy

Understand how we use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your browsing experience, analyse site usage, and ensure compliance with the DPDPA 2023 and applicable Indian laws.

Last Updated: January 27, 2026

Sonawane Group ("we", "us", or "our") uses cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies on our digital platforms to enhance your browsing experience, ensure platform security, and analyse user interactions.

This Cookie Policy forms an integral part of our Privacy Policy. It is designed to ensure full transparency and strict compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and other applicable Indian and international privacy frameworks.

01 · Definition

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small, encrypted text files placed on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) by a web server when you visit a website. They act as a digital memory, allowing the site to recognise your device upon return, recall your preferences (such as language or UI settings), and ensure secure, seamless navigation.

Alongside traditional cookies, we may also use Pixels (small image files that track page views and interactions) and Local Storage (browser-based memory that holds data without server requests).

02 · Lifespans

Session vs. Persistent Cookies

Depending on their technical purpose, the cookies we deploy fall into two distinct lifespan categories:

  • Session Cookies: Temporary files that exist only while your browser is open. Once you close your browser or leave our site, these cookies are automatically deleted. We use them for essential site operations and security validations.
  • Persistent Cookies: These remain on your device for a pre-defined period (a few days to several months) after your browser is closed. We use them to remember your preferences for future visits and to aggregate long-term site analytics.
03 · Classification

Categories of Cookies We Use

To give you granular control over your data, we categorise our tracking technologies as follows. The table below summarises each category, its purpose, and the legal basis for use:

Category Purpose Consent Required? Examples
Strictly Necessary Core site functionality — page navigation, secure logins, load balancing Not Required Session token, CSRF protection
Functional / Preference Remembers your choices: form data, chat history, UI settings Optional Language preference, enquiry form memory
Analytics / Performance Anonymously monitors page visits, bounce rates, load speeds Optional Google Analytics 4 (IP anonymised)
Marketing / Advertising Tracks visitors across sites for relevant ad targeting Opt-in Only Currently not deployed — future policy update if activated

3.1 Strictly Necessary / Essential Cookies

These are the core engine of our website. They enable page navigation, secure areas, and load balancing. Because the website cannot function safely without them, they cannot be disabled. (Consent is not required under DPDPA for essential operational data.)

3.2 Functional / Preference Cookies

These improve usability by remembering choices you make to personalise your experience:

  • Remembering data input into enquiry forms so you don't have to re-type it.
  • Retaining your live chat widget history and preferences.

3.3 Analytics / Performance Cookies

We use these to anonymously monitor how visitors interact with our project pages, identify broken links, measure load speeds, and understand which properties attract the most interest.

  • Tracking metrics like time-on-page and bounce rates.
  • Primary provider: Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — IP addresses are anonymised before processing.

3.4 Marketing / Advertising Cookies

Sonawane Group currently does not deploy third-party retargeting cookies. If we activate ad-tracking features (such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads) in the future, this policy will be explicitly updated, and your opt-in consent will be requested via our banner.

05 · External Data

Third-Party Services & Cross-Border Transfers

Certain elements of our site are powered by trusted third-party providers who may set their own cookies:

  • Google Maps: Used to display precise project locations and directions.
  • YouTube: Used to embed project walkthroughs and drone footage.
  • Google Analytics 4: Used for anonymous site performance monitoring.
Cross-Border Transfer Notice Because providers like Google operate global infrastructure, anonymised analytics data collected via cookies may be processed on servers outside India. By accepting performance cookies, you acknowledge this standard operational data transfer. We ensure such transfers comply with applicable Indian data protection standards.
06 · Privacy Signals

Do Not Track (DNT) Requests

Some modern browsers feature a "Do Not Track" (DNT) or "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) setting. While there is no universally accepted legal standard for DNT signals in India, Sonawane Group honours your privacy. If your browser sends a strict DNT signal, our analytics scripts will inherently limit tracking to essential operations only.

07 · Manual Control

Managing Cookies via Your Browser

In addition to our consent banner, you can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or alert you when a cookie is being sent. Use the official support links below:

Please note: Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of our website, including enquiry forms, live chat, and saved preferences.

08 · Policy Updates

Changes to This Cookie Policy

As technology and privacy legislation evolve, we may update this policy to reflect new operational practices. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most current version. Major changes to our cookie logic will automatically re-trigger the consent banner on your next visit.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of our website after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

09 · Contact & Grievances
